Bootable CD Maker: Generally speaking, making a bootable CD/DVD/Blu-ray Disc is necessary if your system has been compromised, or has experienced technical difficulties. WinISO has ability to make bootable CD/DVD/Blu-ray Disc image file. Here we will show you how to make bootable CD with the bootable feature of WinISO.
Load boot information from file : With this step, you can make the non-bootable iso to bootable one. But, you should get the proper boot information firstly.
There are 2 ways for loading the boot information.
Usage 1:
Click "bootable" on the toolbar; the drop-down list will be popup. Click the “Set Boot Image”, a “select a boot image file” dialogue will appear on your screen. Afterwards, choose the boot image file. Then click “open”.
Usage 2: You can also import boot information from CD/DVD/BD Drive or CD/DVD/BD image file which should be the completely matched boot information for your current ISO file.
Click "bootable" on the toolbar; the drop-down list will be popup. Click the “Import From..”, There will be two options. For example, if you have the CD/DVD/BD image files on your file, just choose the “CD/DVD/BD Image File”, a “select a boot image file” dialogue will appear on your screen. Choose the boot image file. Then click “open”.
After you load the boot information, you will see “Bootable” above the label name.
So far, you've got the bootable iso file. Then press “Ctrl + S” to save it.
The last step for making bootable CD is clicking the “Burn” on the toolbar. (Please make sure you have the Recordable CD-ROM.)
FYI: WinISO has many other options for "making bootable CD": these functions include "extract boot image", "Clear Boot Information" and "Import form CD/DVD/BD Drive or CD/DVD/BD Image File".
Extract boot image: This option will help you extract the boot information, in order to set the boot information to the non-bootable file. Get to know how to extract boot information.
Or maybe you think you don’t need the boot information any more, WinISO can address your concerns. Once you click the "Clear Boot Information", you will get a non-bootable iso image file.
